Hello all

I am from Switzerland and driving a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO5 in www.streetcar-cup.ch

I am about to upgrade my engine with stronger pistons, rods and a special headgasket.

First I wanted to go for Oliver rods and JE pistons, but from what I've read, the JE pistons aren't that good. Acutally I read of people blowing up their engines because of piston clearance problems?

My engine needs to be reliable in race use with 600bhp.

Which pistons and rods do you recommend and why? Where can I buy them?

Many thanks for any informations and greetings from Switzerland

personally i'd go with hks or jun, but that's only if i'm not paying for it.

honestly noone here probably owns an evo5 much less has experience with aftermarket rods and pistons for it. i'd contact norris designs, they're over in europe (might be england though, not too sure where they are exactly) and should be able to get you setup. they sell evo 7 kits that make over 600hp.

i know there's a few other big evo tuners over ther, but i'm not sure of their exact names right now.
