I dont know exactly what you are looking for, but if your looking for a nice exhaust manifold, just get a evo III mani. They flow pleanty and will go 10's. If you are looking for a turbo-kit, then AGP has my vote. www.AGPturbo.com is the website. externals can be found all over the net. If you are lookin for a nice setup on a mitsu turbo or hybrid, then go with an external gate mounted on the o2 housing.

Please share more of your goals so we can help you further.:talon:

this is the most immaculant manifold system I have ever seen OMG

I guess you guys don't know the difference between a mitsubishi turbo and a garett.

Exactly. i know a guy using one on his race car. he has had it on for almost a year no problems.

nineD5_GS-T, I'm looking for info/experience from people that have:

A) used this manifold...

or

B) know people that have it.

Reason being: I'm looking to upgrade my stock manifold/turbo and before I do, I'm doing research. I'd rather learn now, before I spend money.

If you suggest a manifold other than the one I'm asking about...cool, but what type of flange does it use?

dsmturboawd, stock 2g manifold is what I have, and from what I've read a T3/T4 won't fit it.

hostile, to tell you the truth, I don't...but I'm assuming the obvious difference is the flange.

I've had my Eclipse every bit of about 3 weeks...I'm reading and learning.

I am running the DNP tubular header, it has the 1g/2g flange on it. If your wanting to run a garrett turbo you have two options, you can run the adapter plate, and port it out to match the 2g manifold or header, or get a manifold with the t3/t4 flange. I would stay with the 16g, evo3 16(best turbo for teh buck), or super 20g. I am not happy with my garrett at all!!

hows the finish holding up? also how bad are your under hood temps. i just had all my stuff jet coated.

To owners of this manifold...DNP claims better spool up. Is this true? If so, how much faster did it spool? Where (in RPM) and on what turbo?

Thanks,
Jake

Guys, I went from using massively ported 2G manifold, to a tubular header, to a Turbonetics T3 manifold, back to a ported 2G manifold...

I hated the amount of heat that exposed header was releasing under the hood! I ended up wrapping the T3 manifold with header wrap, but that looked pretty bad and didn't wear very well.

Right now, I am back to running a 2G manifold and I am running faster than I ever was on the headers. I would not even consider using another exposed header on a street car. Whatever gains you might get from them, are just not worth all the headaches.

Now, I will probably run my car next year with a header, but is will not be my daily driver...

What tubular header were you using?

Has anyone used or is anyone planning to use a DNP header on a street car? Cuz those are my plans...

Thanks,
Jake

Thats the plan leons concerns are the reason i had everything ceramic coated.

I would say on street I would notice with my T25 a spool up about 600rpms below stock ie...1200rms or so. Full boost with boost mods where at at 2k(12-15psi). I havn't had a chance to run with my new garrett but I expecting full boost undr 3k. I have never had a problem with heat, non what so ever. My egt runs kind of hot when I push it hard, ie 18 psi on the stock t25, but other than that it just looks beatifull. This header is the most impressive mod you can do under the hood of a dsm minus a good turbo.

I plan on using the DNP Header on my street car. Sure the under hood heat goes up, but it cools off very very fast.

Currently, I have the pacesetter on there and realize now that it's not what I wanted, so back it goes to Summit.

Simply put because our cars only have four cylinders and have such a tiny engine bay we will always have to deal with heat, but if you could vent the engine bay better it might not be such a big deal.

I figure once it's done why do I need to go under the hood if the car is running good...

its nto the fact that you are going under the hood. Its the fact that all the hot air is being sucked into the intake and hot air = bad....cold air = good. and if you plan on making any more than stock horse power out of your engine then you better belive you will be under the hood alot.

Check the flange for flatness before you bolt it up. I saw one at a shop last month, it was flat until it got to #4, then it dropped of about 1/16". The machine shop didn't charge them very much to fix it though.

Bigfoot - Can you tell the future? I replaced my Pacesetter header with a DN header ( Best thing I coulda done) and I found out AFTER I installed it that I had to file flat the flange to the turbo as it was all wavey. Haaaa!

With regard to underhood heat you could fab up some form of ram air for the intake.

So far I've had my header on for more than a week and I love it!:thumb:

>With regard to underhood heat you could fab up some form of ram air for the intake.

I already have cold air intake form where stock I/C used to be. I was more concerned with melting my CF hood and timing belt covers… (I have melted timing belt covers before)

>So far I've had my header on for more than a week and I love it!

I would wait until you get off a highway on a 90 deg summer day, after 60+ min trip, before you make up your mind :).
