I have a question i was wondering i gave a 96 Gsx non eprom ecu and my friend has a 95 Gst. I was wondering can we switch Ecu's safely i am going with Dsm Link so i need an eprom ecu will his work in my car?

Yes his will be able to work in your car. But to be able to use the DSMlink you have to send them your ecu to be socketed.

I don't think the GST ECU can be used in GSX car. The ECU's part numbers are different. MD309947 is for GST and MD312464 (if I remember correct) is for GSX.

Correct, any 95 Eprom ECU will work. FWD, AWD, MT, AT, any of them.

What about the speed limiter? Isn't it in the ECU, and only on the GST, not the GSX?

If he is getting the fwd e prom, dsmlink will take off the speedlimiter.

He is going to trade his buddy for a non eprom, but then his buddy wont have a speed limiter either.
