need new engine

My head is toast. My stepdad was driving my car while I was in california and somehow the top end is now done for. Its ok though. This is a perfect chance for me to do a 6 bolt swap. I want to keep it mild for everyday driving but I need help with parts. The new motor will be built around a fp big 28 so Im not looking for hardcore forged internals. I was thinking about the 2g pistons with 1g rods, what do you think? I would like to get a little extra pep with the new engine but I dont want to go overboard. I need to get this figured out as soon as possible so please any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Im gonna call FFWD and see what they have to offer. I dont think I would trust myself with building my own motor because I have never done it before. But people please, I still need some help. Would a 3 angle valve job be a good idea? What about porting? What about the HKS mild cams, too much for a big 28? help...........
