I would like to the which is a better buy.
The Pro street online's Street intercooler kit or
the victory performance street intercooler kit.
The VP is cheaper and also comes with slim fan, and
it also has same type core(correct me if I'm wrong).
Let's hear it.

I'm not sure bout the Dejon tool FMIC...
But I think I'm liking the VP FMIC better, so I might go with that.
The end tank on the VP seems to be different than that of PS.
Imma call them up and see what the difference is.
Thanks for the info.

any pics pirate?

Does the dejon kit come with short route piping like the ProStreet or VPE kits?

Jake

yes the dejon fmic does include the short route piping. the fmic is like 650 or so PLUS the pipes funs just aroun d900-1000 depending on pipes you get. But from what i have heard the VP fmic have realy crappy welds. and when they get too hot that the end tanks actualy crack off of the core. it was in one of the treads on here last week.

From Dejon's site, it looks like too many modifications for my liking just to install it. Cut this, fabricate a bracket for this, relocate that. Plus you have to buy everything seperately that adds up to well over the price of the VPE kit which includes it all in one package. IMO scratch the Dejon idea.

Any proof or mention of bad VPE cores from anyone else. A link to the thread maybe? I know I saw someone with busted welds on a DSR core. Maybe you have the DSR kit confused with the VPE kit.

i have to say i am partial to the psi kit, it will be going on my car very soon

(check your pm's kdrkmstp)

Vp does not either, i emailed them about it and they use a diffrent core, witch is fine too. the cores are all the same size

I reasearched about 30 diffrent kits on the internet, very many times, I used to have the greddy fmic, witch i think now is basically the most worthless 500 bucks ive ever spent, And when i needed a new fmic i looked for tons of things, And at everyones kit. ( VP, Dejon, Extreme motorsports, Boucher, IRC, DSMotorsports, Extreme Psi's)

I personally have the pro street kit and i cant say enough nice things about it, The kit was the best for me because.

1. The Flat tube core of the spearco 2-120
2. Still allows efficiant cooling (important for 2g)
3. The Tial BOV comes with it
4. T-Bolt Clamps
5. Short Route Piping (stainless polished steel may i add)
6. The Bling Bling Factor :D
7. Ease of the install

I have heard everything but bad things about VP kit also, its a very nice kit, just not what i was looking for, When you compare apples to apples between the 2 kits, its just basically the question of You want the fan or the bling bling with the tial.

If you want to check out the detail of my kit check out my directory of pics and all the ones that start with FMIC are the pics....

t-Bolt clamps are the shizznit!

I have victories short route piping with a different Spearco core. The core, piping, couplings, and clamps came to about $900. I did remove one of the fans and got a slim line fan from a buddy of mine.

Airpopoff...Looking good. Looking damn good. I think I just changed my mind. I want the Pro Street kit now. Not including work to the front bumper, did you have to cut, replace, saw, relocate, trim, or remove anything in the install? Do you have the bumper support on? If so how much did you have to trim it?

Lookin good. Sexy car! :thumb:

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah as you can see in the pics i took you do have to trim the airducts on the both sides of the bumper a little bit, i did it mostly with a razor blade then smoothed it with a dremel, When you use a dremel, put on a gas mask, i almost passed out from the fumes of the bumper smoking when the dremel hit it. But it really doesent matter when you look at it from the front, it all looks the same. But you still got the bling bling pipes. In case you didint know, i got the Turbonetics silicon coupling adapters too. anything else i can help you with let me know.

they both are, its just prefrence really, i know alot of people have had cooling issues with that core, and id seem not mess with that, I really dont see the point in that core with running less that 500 hp
