EVO 8 Injectors in 1g

Well if you had an inkling of any knowledge on the EVO8, you'd know that it runs hella more boost than any other EVO straight from the factory. There are reports saying the injectors flow anywhere from 510cc-560cc, but most likely 550cc. I got them at a really cheap price. So thats why. Insert foot into mouth.

I'm pretty sure that they are low impedance 550-560 cc/min ND injectors. They should have a rating stamped into the plastic. One side will say INP-XXX and the other side will have the size.
They should fit using stock o-rings and manifold insulators but it's hard to tell from pictures, the pintle caps look slightly larger than normal.
Like any other larger injectors some sort of fuel control is required.

Do you have them in hand yet?

Well you didn't say that before *foot removal*. I imagine that any brand new from-the-factory EVO injectors would cost a ton more than 550's from one of the regular DSM parts places. But, if you got a special deal on them somehow, that's a completely different story :)

I thought you were one of those "dood, evo8 engine in a talon???!??/" or "super-cool idea, EVO8 FMIC in DSM?????!!!111".

I got em, they look awesome, barely even smell like fuel. I have yet to put them in but they look like they'll work. I'm gonna have some free time tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes.

They are marked MDL560P INP-401 in case anyone is wondering. Based on previous ND numbering that would make them 560's. I measured a set and they are low impedance. They have an interesting 4 hole plate and no visible pintle. I wonder if they use a disk or ball instead of a pintle?

evo 1-3 injectors are 510cc.

evo 8 injectors are 560cc.

hopefully this clears up everything.

for a reference:

i like to call the dealer for prices of random stuff i dont need. just for kicks. stock 2g intake manifold is 900 dollars.

i would guess evo injectors from the dealer are about 225 each. ill call monday for fun.

call conicelli mitsubishi too .. you call. I called them xxx times in the past few months and i dont feel like calling.

wow, call me the raiser of the dead, i think i even hear michael jackson's thriller in the back ground, but you never gave us an update if they fit? i have a set of evo 8 injectors on the way to my door as we speak with a 2g to 1g harness adapter, and a 2g maf at home. im stoked to put it in. i know they fit, but just really wondering on your case!!

dont need an update, i plopped my own in with 3/8" neoprene grommets, work fine ;) and in process of adapting/mating 2g maf onto 1g intake...what fun!
