Well i just tore apart my 6bolt motor and am keeping the Short block..(BTW this was out of my Parts Car which is a 90 Laser RS turbo)I picked the car up from a friend who said the car ran it just needed a new CAS. well I tore everything apart and the Shortblock is in Nice condition. Now the question i have is the head looks very good well at least the Core and internals Minus the valves. Now the valves are all straight and NONE of them are Bent but they have like a White Rock corrosion on the top of them, as if being Heated alot . The exhaust valves are fine, But i was just wondering if i should just buy a used 1g head instead of dealing with these valves. I have never tried the head out but if i Was to use this head DO you think since the car was sitting for 5 months that the corrosion on the valves will just Burn off once they are being used??????? I just want to know so that i dont spend extra money.. thx:|

if you have the head off now, just get a few stainless steel wire wheels for a drill or dremel and clean the valves of all that junk... It is mostlikely just carbon deposits and build up. If none of the valves are bent then they should work fine after a good wire brushing..

Just my 2 cents...

I Agree. Intake valves don't get hot enough to burn off all deposits, that's how the stuff got there. MCCC also works on those deposits.
