Hey guys i was wondering I have a chance to get ahold of a greddy Fmic but i was wondering it is bit banged up,in the front there is 2 little circles hit against it , and on the back it looks like a stab about half an inch in, maybe 2 of those right on top of each other. I was wondering what those few things wrong with it is it still good , its the Big one so there is alot of intercooler that in good shape ok thanks

as long as the actual structure (i.e. what holds the air) is not breached, it should be ok.

Yes you can do it yourself. Go to VFAC and search for intake leak tester. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html
It's the same principle behind testing the IC. The only thing different is that you make two of these, except one without the tire valve stem. After you put one on each end of the IC, put an air pump to it and put in 19-20lbs of pressure. If it holds the pressure and you don't hear any leaks from the IC, then you're good.
PS, Instead of using the radiator hose(as vfaq used), I went to the home depot PVC pipe section and bought rubber hose/pipe couplers. They worked great.
