Just installed a 2600 in my 2g gst and ended up breaking the 2nd gear syncrho a month later. me and a friend were looking for a beater on a local style classifieds site and came across a 91 gsx auto for 500 o.b.o. I think this would be a good car to get around in while my gst is down. I know auto's suck and it has that little 13whatever turbo, but I still had a few questions about it. Would I still be able to switch the intake manifold, throttle body, and head to my car for a performance gain or not? and can autos be converted to manuals? we thought it would be a good project car after my car was running again but don't really want to spend money on a auto.

yeah you can still swap the intake,TB and head onto your 2g,the autos can be converted to manuals,but you pretty much need a whole 5-speed car to make sure you get everything. yeah its got a 13g turbo and 390cc injectors and a small exhaust manifold,and people will tell you they are crap and to change all that stuff. in your situation though,seems it would fit your needs just perfectly.

i thought it was a 13b turbo that is in the automatic 1st gens???

i would get it. Put it this way, you are getting a 6-bolt for $500.

I am going to look at it tommorrow night. the guy said it runs fine and I still may be able to get him to come down some on the price. Is there anything else I can take off besides the intake, TB, and head? I already have a 1g BOV. I will probably keep the car for a daily driver so I was also wondering what all turbos are bolt on for it. I know the 16g is and will probably just throw it on there. thanks for any more ideas you guys can give me.

Just to get an idea which turbo is crappier the t25 or the 13g?

13g, worhtless. yah, wut that other dude said, ur getting a 6bolt for 500 dollars, it'd be the perfect daily driver.
