I am getting a 1g bushar racing stage 3 head with hks 264 cams titanium retainers and springs, stainless steel valves, port and polish. THE WORKS.

Anyways, my question is, since the 1g cars have the cam angle sensor on the apposite side where my stock 2g gst sensor is which is on the intake cam gear, will i be able to either 1. hook up the new sensor that comes with the head to my car, or 2. will i be able to take the old sensor off and just use my old sensor thats on the intake cam gear. What is involved with doing this? I just take old sensor off, have to plug up a whole.. or.. any help would be apreciated!!

sorry for the confusion, will i be able to use the sensor that comes with the head, or should i disconnect it and use my old one. Which is better anways?

If you use the 1G sensor, you would have the ability to advance your base timing. Im not sure you can use the 95-96 sensor becuase of the mounting bosses for the sensor are not present on a 1G head. Hmmm, I just ran into my garage to look at my other six bolt and didn't see any where to mount the stock 95-96 sensor. I think you would have to use the 1G sensor. Anyone else?
