I set my timing a while back, did all the normal things like grounding the little terminal behind the battery etc.

Well, I left the plug behind the battery grounded for the past two weeks, driving around like normal.

I did not really notice any difference in engine performance except that it may be just a bit slower.

Question.

What exactly happens when you ground this terminal?

Is (by leaving the pin grounded) leaving my ecu in limp mode, thereby limiting my timing advance? thus giving me weaker performance?

-Thanks

not limp mode. it simply takes control of the timing away from the ecu.

SO what does that mean, it would be at 5 Degrees, all the time?
