So i have completed rebuilding the block with new standard size OEM 1g pistons, rings, and rod bearings all lubed up and everything.
Please verify my torque specs before i put on the oil pan..
Rod bearing caps:
With everything standard(nothing machined) I torqued the rod bearing caps to 18 ft/lbs + 1/4 turn turn according to Chilton manual. Using a plastigauge on all caps i got .0015mm which is the correct spec.
Main bearing caps:
I took out all the bolts but decided not to replace the main bearings, screw em back on, and torqued them the same as the rod bearings 18 ft/lbs + 1/4 turn
Did i torque them all right in SPEC? the crank spins fine also. thx
