knock senor/ Air/Fuel?

ok first off im new to turbo DSM's actually i dont have one yet but i MAY be getting a 92GSX but any ways.

What is the knock senor and what does it do?
and what should the air fuel read when you are boosting around 3500 rmps lets say should it be low or high? Im gussing you would want it rich? Right?

when youre boosting... keep the af in the green, rich. dont lean out could be bad if you do

i see so if it goes lean im in trouble and i should let off or shift?

And what does the knock sensor do?
