I would like to ditch the cast endtanks and use sheetmetal endtanks, anybody have a good source for these or am I gonna have to do it my self? any help would be appriciated. its a 2-115 it is 18" wide, 6"tall, 3.5" thick. oh and its a spearco. I dont think that there is any perfomance gain between the cast and sheetmetal other than weight this thing is a heavy ass pig. and I dont want to hang this much weight out over the front end!

well talked to a few people today and cutting the endtanks off and doing them in sheet metal is only going to get me aobut 1-2 pounds of saving not worth the 2-3 hours or more it would take to do it. guess i will just have to make more power. or go to a diff style intercooler like a fin and tube.

Just curious why you didn't just order a bare core instead? Would've been hella cheaper and if you have the skills/equipment to do it anyway???

i got the intercooler and the pipping for really cheap about 50 bucks over what a core costs. kid owed me money!!!!

thinking I might sell it and get a tube and fin to save weight. I just dont like the idea of having that much weight hanging way out over the front end. it would be fine for drag racing only but the car will see a lot of time on the road course.

"that much weight over the front end" uhhhh....... WTF?!?!? ok.
