Wiseco pistons with the Eagle rods??? Is this a good combo or what?? As well do these rods have to be machined to fit the Wiseco pistons??? This should be a alllright setup for 400hp would u guys think??

I got wiseco 8.5:1 on my 6 bolt with eagle rods and Ive never had a problem. No machining is required the wrist pin is a slide fit through the rod and piston and is held in by lock rings that come with the pistons.The only bad thing I've heard is that the lock rings sometimes fall out and go into the oil pan, never experienced this myself. I've heard eagle rods can support well over 600 hp, that setup should be plenty strong for 400hp.

I got my stuff from slowboy racing it was about 770 for the pistons and rods(360 for rods ,400 for pistons) they gave me shipping for free b/c I had ordered like 2500 dollars worth of stufff, give them a call they could probably hook you up with a good shipping price too.

Eagle rods are rated to 600+hp and are a good buy for the money. Weisco is owned by JE and both companies have very exacting quality standards. You can not go wrong with Weisco pistons they seem to stand up to some really harsh conditions.

My buddy sprays 100hp shot ontop of 26psi of boost on a Miata and the pistons come out looking like friggin brand new after an entire race season and over 100 passes on the dyno. Sounds like they work good to me, and he's using a standard off the shelf piston.

Thanks guys and one more quick question what is the best turbo for the buck without getting a different manifold and goin external wastegate??
I like the 20g or the 18g
