Pistons. What should I do?

I already posted this in the newbie forum, but I didnt know if it would get answered there. This is kind of beyond some of the stuff I have read in there. here it is:
I have done some research but I just want some more opinions. I have seen and read about most brands of pistons out there, but what is the best piston and crank out there? Its for a 1G 4G63 turo engine. I am thinking of going with a 9:1 or a 9.1:1 ratio. I am also thinking of having the crank and rods shaved and edged to decrease mass. What will give me the most performance, but will last and hold the largest amounts of tourge? THanks in advance.

You have lots of research to do before you jump into building up an engine. First of all the rods and crank on a 6 bolt are fine, you can't shave rods to lose weight and the crank you can knive edge it but that will do almost nothing. 9:1 compression is a lot of compression for a turbo engine, its been done but tuning the thing will be very very hard. 8.5:1 is what you want.

well, I have built a couple of these motors at work, but only to stock specs and parts. I have built a alot of performance and racing engines though. I have used Ross before and they I really liked them. I just wanted to get some advice on what would work best for these engines. I have some good experience in tunning so I know what all has to be done to use 9:1 pistons and what my limits will be. I am considering the 8.5:1 though because I will have alittle bit more room to tune with. But I dont know yet. I have the 6 bolt apart waiting for some more funds, so I have some time before I order parts. Thanks for the help.
