Getting a GSX to run 12.5...

I am gettin a GSX this December. I am trying to plan things out, and see if my HighSchool goal of 12.5 1/4 mile is possible w/ them money i have to spend(so i don't get my hopes up)

Anyways I am probly gonna spend 3,000$ this school year and summer. Then maybe 3000-5000$ Junior year and summer (depending on job).

Can i get to 12.5 w/ that money (w/o nitrous )

Then Senior year, if i can NOT get to 12.5 w/ the 6000-8000$ i spent can i get there w/ 10,000$$ ???

I plan to do a Greddy Upgrade kit first, Some internals, then turbo upgrade... I just wanted some other thoughts on my car (other than my friends thoughts on what i can run) and where i can get.

My Fp green got me a 12.54 at 109mph at 19psi on pump gas!!! and it was my second run ever hhaha not to shabby for a full weight gsx and a bad driver!!!

You can run 12.5 on a small 16g. That's 500 bucks. Then, you need an exhaust (500), injectors (200), a fuel pump (100), a FMIC (800), a clutch (400) and some sort of tuning device (300-600).

That, plus some good maintinance, will net you a 12.5, easily.

Did you not see the post right under this one? Honestly, do some more research before posting something like this. 3000 dollars is plenty to run 12s. You dont need to do ANY internal work. I don't know what the Greddy Upgrade Kit is but most likely its a rip off. Search the threads, read everything you can about DSMs and when you buy one you will be ready to modify it.
