Hello, I just bought a K&n air filter and want to put resistors or whatever electronic parts I'm going to need to trick the ECU into thinking that the car is running with the air flow sensor. How and what do I need to do and get? I'm working with a limited budget. Right now the air can is off and I have the filter on without the sensor plugged in. (2.0 liter Auotmatic) I'm good with electronics however I do not know what readings it should have on what wires. PLEASE HELP!@!!@

I can plug it back in but the car stalls out. I want to be able to bypass it. I don't want to put it in the filter.

Even if you could bypass it, how would the engine know how much air is coming in? Without that little piece of vital information the engine will never run properly.

You can't do what your asking. You have to run with the mas air flow sensor. Thats like trying to run your car without an O2 sensor, something you can do with stand alone engine management but not something you will be able to do successfully with a stock car.

Basically what were all saying is your not going to be able to do what your talking about. Just plug it back in and cut the can back, thats the only way. With out your MAF your car will have no idea how much air is entering the engine (which is a varying amount obviously) and the air/fuel will end up being totally screwed up. If you do that the intake you just put on your car will cause you to lose 15hp not gain anything.

the best u can do without buying an expensive standalone or VPC is to cut the filter cover off and hack out some of the honey combs inside, your car will not run without the MAS hooked into the intake
