Okay i bought a Aeromotive Fuel pressure Regulator the other day. I installed it and everything went smooth. Then i set my fuel Pressure at 42psi w/ the vac line on. I go to take the car out and it feels really slow compared to what it was with the stocker on. The exaust starts sounding really muffled. It only happens when i start going into boost. Does anyone know what is wrong. (see my mod's list in my profile) What i think is that i am running really rich, but i was told to set it at 42psi and i don't feel like blowing up my engine by turning down the psi to something lower. Thanks for the help in advance

Thats cause you are runnign really rich. Take the line off so the regulator doesnt see boost/vacuum at all (essentially 0) and then set it at ~36-38psi.... Not only is your setting a little high as your car is stock, but you setting it with your line on (probably meaning the car is idling/pulling vacuum) that by the time you get to 0 or 1psi of boost your fuel pressure is probably around 60psi, assuming your motor is healthy and pulling the proper vacuum.

So just take it off, set it to about 36-38psi and see how it runs from there...

Thanks, That was definatly the problem. I pluged the vac line with a Golf T and then set the PSI to like 40psi. Took it out for a run and it seems fine a little rich at 5-6500 rpms but i don't wana lower the Fuel Pressure until i get my logger hooked up on Saturday. So i think 40psi should be good, right now i am only going by my autometer air/fuel disco ball gauge ( which i know isn't a tunning tool) but its the best i have right now. But thank you for the help Austin i apricate it.
