how can you get past the computer inside the intake housing to get an actuall air intake without it running bad.?

how'd you get a computer stuck in your intake? and what the hell are you talking about?

i'll take a stab at it anyway. you need some way to measure the amount of air going into the engine on any car. if you take that "computer" away, it will run like ass.

do i need to include a N/T comment here? i don't think so.

Btw my brother is using my account , he has a 90Eclipse GST. I think he is talking about the sensors that are towards the filter. But im not a turbo guy so i don't know what the hell hes talking about either.

i assume you are talking about the mass air sensor, thats what measures the air that comes into ur engine, there is no need to get rid of it, u would need an expensive VPC to do that
if you just want to put an intake on the car you dont need to remove the MAS, any intake u would buy would connect to the MAS, the filter will always connect to the MAS, any intake connects to that, not the filter
