exhaust question

I recently bought a used Tanabe racing super medallion for super cheap. The only catch was that it didn't have the bolts, washers, metal gaskets, silencer, and any other accesories it usually comes with when you buy it new. Just the two pipes. the one that comes with the muffler and the one that connects to the cat converter. My question is, can a muffler shop install it with their own parts, or will I have to order them from tanabe? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with that brand, but you should be able to find a resonator for pretty cheap, (RRE in Socal) and the exhaust shop should have no trouble providing everything else. Good luck.

Thanks for replying. I was about to give up on this thread. I just took my car to the muffler shop and they were able to install it. They didn't have the gasket available at the time so they installed it using a high temperature resistant glue. However, they ordered the gasket and will install it on a couple of days. They told me to wait for the install but I was way too impatient. The exhaust sounds great but it's kind of loud even when the windows are up and it's hard to listen to my stereo. I'll be ordering a resonator from RRE asap. Thanks again for replying.

the gasket in a tube stuff is fine, or you can have them put in a real gasket. I prefer the real gaskets because I seem to break stuff a lot and my exhaust comes off quite a bit.
