wow.
just when i think the car is at its peak performance, something else happens.

for a long time now, i've been plagued with fuel cut. even though my propane keeps o2's at .96 and above throught all gears and all rpm ranges, my ecu kept ruining my fun. i could only run a mere 15psi to keep the maf happy.
until now.

i got my tmo chip from mitsuspecialties on ebay; this is the guy that we all assumed just pirated all the software and burned them on to new eproms. its probably the case, but since i havent seen anyone with a true blue tmo chip, i cant say for sure. what i can say is that fuel cut is gone, and that my stock boost gauge is now a timing advance gauge.
####ing. cool. :thumb:

so this combination costed $390. no, it isn't as tunable as $600 dsmlink + $400 550cc injectors + $100 walbro 255. what it is, though, is 18psi through a big16g on pump gas, stock fuel pump, stock 450cc fuel injectors, with no fuel cut, timing advance never dipping below 20* bdtc, egts never peaking over 950*c, and o2's never dropping below 0.96- for $390.
0.96 is conservative, however. i want to keep things safely rich. if i wanted to, i would lean things up a bit by turning down the propane and see how 0.92 feels. at this point, however, the car is fast enough for me daily driving.

in one week i will take it down the 1/4 at 22psi on a 50:50 c16/pump mix tuned for 0.92v. stay tuned.

ok i hope you meant 850, because at 950 your going to melt your engine into a huge blob of solid metal......that is certainly not in the safe zone

theres a reason for fuel cut, its there so when you run out of fuel the engine doesnt keep trying and burn shit up, fuel cut elimination is for someone who occasionally gets fuel cut on their already well tuned car, not someone who is already maxing out stock injectors and wants another few pounds of boost.....that would be d u m b

again, egts simply are indicative of timing advance/retard. If he can see his timing advance than egt values are not that important, however the dT/dt is. <--rate of change in temperature

fuel cut is based on airflow, not a/f ratio, not running out of fuel, simply the amount of airflow that would be safe assuming everything on the car is setup stock. He is compensating for the extra air with propane (a fuel) and monitoring the 02, egt's and timing advance. he is safe enough.

ive hit 1050*c without propane. my engine is not a blob of solid metal.

egts ran up that high at 15psi with no fuel cut. my guess is that my probe is too deep in the exhaust mani.

injectors are maxed out. propane is running at about 10% its capability.

the actual combustion temp is more along the lines of 3000F. It is primarily the knock that destroys hard parts by introducing very extreme pressures/temperatures suddenly
