Any suggestions on a new oil return line?

I am fed up with my oil return line. The first oil return line, had 2 fittings and a rubber hose that connected the two, and the inlet on one fitting crushed when I clamped it down. It was very weak. SO I bought a new return line, 2 fittings and a SS Braided line. The line screws into the fitting.

I have tried everything to get it to stop leaking. I have RTV Sealent everywhere! It stopped for the last 5 or six months, but I retorqued the bolts on my turbo(Did not remove), and the line is leaking again. Its leaking where the fitting meets the SS Line.

I am just about fed up with this line. Anyone have good line, that hasnt leaked or is easily crushed, with 5 ftlbs torque?

Also, when the Manual says 40ftlbs + 60 degrees, they mean torque to 40ft-lbs then turn 60 more degrees? I tried, but I couldnt go past 15-30 degrees before worrying that the stud would break.

Best bet seems to be to buy a pre-fabbed line from somewhere, or find a local place and have them make you one. This is off topic but where'd you get fittings and SS line that screw together? I need these.

Can't help ya with the new fittings, but if you still have your old stock return line do this. Cut the flex section out of it and leave one rib on each of the two pieces remaining. Use some 5/8" rubber fuel line and hose clamps to replace the flex section that you cut out. I just this to mine last night after finding a crack in the flex section. Woke up this morning and guess what,,,,, no more oil leak. :thumb:

I didn't check your sig. so dis-regard this if you're running a "non Mitsu" turbo housing. ;)

Thanks for the help, I dont have the stock line, since I bought the car with this turbo ETE32.

I cant remember where I bought this line. Its a good part, but I think I may have overtorqued the fitting, causing a rougher seal.

I think I bought it from DSM-performance though, since that is where my turbo is from.
