Im just curious is it possible to build a 2.4L 6 bolt for a 2g and have it be a daily driver? And if someone where to do this what all would you guys recommend for internal parts?? (rods, pistons, ect.) Also where would I look for the stroker kit? I would never pay the $4000+ that magnus is asking for a pre-built one. Im just curious really but if you guys dont mind fill me in. Links would help too for parts. Thanks:dsm:

Ok I take that back, Magnus might be the way to go. I was researching and it seemed a little easier in the long run and not that much more expensive. And about the driveablilty, I was reading a post by rdrkt and he was saying that his car was very streetable. I might have just answered my own question here but if you have any insight and positive comments please still post.

the engine isnt what makes it hard to drive, its having a turbo too large

in the end you pay as much for all the internals that they put into the engine as just buying it from them, and its going to be more streetable then a 2.0, it will spool up faster and give more low end torque making easier driving

yea, taking another look at mnagnus was a good idea, when u think about it unless u build that 2.4 urself in ur house its going to cost u more then the magnus 2.4, if u cant assemble the engine urself it will cost u considerably more
and the magnus 2.4(and all other 2.4 engines) do not use a stroker kit, iv never seen a 2.4 stroker kit, only 2.2 and 2.3 kits, the, magnus uses a bottom end from another mitsu motor thats already 2.4 liters, its a hybrid motor like a honda b20, not a bored and stroked motor, u need a 2.4L bottom end(block and crank)
and if u read the info on magnus site about their stage 4 2.4 they have spent alot of time shaving every unnesicary gram off the rotating weight to make the engine rev faster and make more power, even if u built one exactly to the spec of theirs it wouldnt be the same, and wouldnt be as fast, magnus is the way to go if u want a 4g64 2.4L hybrid motor

Im really eyeballing the stage 4 2.4L 4G64. For an engine that will be ready to drop in thats not a bad price. And as for the turbo I dont think I would put anything that has mass amounts of lag. Maybe like a 50 or 57 trim t3/t4. They would awsome power with this engine.

hey cirus learn what you are talking about before you post

you could build a 6 bolt 2.4 for considerably less then 4000, what makes it worth that much is they know the 2.4l block inside and out and have done many things that the average shop wouldnt
