launched so hard exhaust fell off

i got like 375 miles on the act 2600 now, and ive been getting on it, not shifting fast or anything, i decided to do a moderate launch, i revd it up and slipped it and go moving forward and when it grabbed all 4 were spinning like crazy and i let off, well then the car was REALLY LOUD, i look under the car and my downpipe came apart in the middle ol.....i had it clamped in the middle with a connector, so it just slid out, i gotta get it welded.....and maybe new motor mounts would help

and one other really strange thing that puzzled me is i shifted to 2nd hard today, and my speedo stopped working for like a minute, it just went back to 0 and kinda flopped around until i came to a stop, then it worked again and has ever since.......i was worried

hahahaha, when my friend installed a clutch into his integra gsr, he slammed it into 3rd and the headunit and equalizer shut off and flew out of the dash and were only hanging on by the harnesses

I broke my stock exhaust in half (thought I blew my engine) on a launch at the track. I got lil excited and gunned it too soon. Hello wheelhop! (I had my best time the run before that too, DOH!)

I bet the exhaust bolts were slowly losening over time and then the launch finally just popped 'em off. Speaking of launching hard... One time I launched at like 5500 and some how grabed perfectly and my window shield wipers came on from all the force. "AWD DSM owners are some of the few that know what jet pilots feel like on a carrier take off" .

true true... The first time I really launched my car my friend was with me and I really ####ed up his neck... From then on I've always told people to put their heads back...

ur windsheild wipers will come on if u launch any 2g dsm with a clutch, my friend has a cm2500 in his 2g fwd and if u so much as downshift and take off the wipers will come on, that switch and its placement wasnt very well thought out by mitsu

last night at the track track wheelhop was killing me
1st lauch winshield wipers turned on
2nd tweeter came of bracket on my door

i replace the motormounts and it hasn't seemed to help much i think i'm going to need to be looking for a gear regulated ebc w/ the big 16g on its way i'm afraid the wheel hop w/ my phantom grip lsd is going to snap an axle of kill my trani

last time at the track, a b16g gst with slicks got some bad wheelhop, it like hopped up really bad and slammed back down and he blew his tranny, chunks were laying on the ground....earlier i asked him what he was running and he told me it was secret....i was like wtf, your running 13's its not like you have anything to hide, kid was an idiot, he completely burned his slicks off every launch, i mean like he tried to launch like an awd at 6 grand and just spun

I lauched the car a little to hard at the track once got mad wheelhop so bad that my head it the roof of the car and the wipers came on, lucky me i didn't break the tranny...scared me tho, but i did net my best time that night, just no more 5500k quick slip drop of the clutch launches haha.

hmm.. could old shocks cause the rear of an AWD TSI to squat so much the front tires chirp, squeel ? Is that normal? Becouse the one launch I did at 4,600 or so rpm did just that..

I did that shifting into second at the track last time. What can I say I had to beat the WRX

does it in my FWD if I launch it really hard. When the wheels hop it vibrates the steering wheel so much the wiper lever moves down and turns them on haha.

I need urethane motormounts.

My windshield wipers always come on when I shift to 2nd...but the worst think that's ever gone flying on a launch were my sunglasses off the visor...hit me in the face .

my friend was driving my car for the first time a few months ago and he dumped the clutch at like 5 grand and we took off, his cell phone flew out of the visor and almost hit him in the face, he was like what the hell was that rofl

I pretty much just dropped the clutch one time at the track at about 5500 rpm's. I burned off all 4 tires ang got a little sideways. It was sweet. My 60 foot time suffered but I'm just glad my 3-bolt held up.
