Buy a 2.5" or 3" mandrel bent downpipe
Take it to a muffler shop, have them weld a flowmaster on the end of it. Or, any other muffler that doesn't have anything inside of it, just welded aluminum baffles/etc
Dump it under the car. Sort of quiet, flows real well.

Didn't they stop making the N1?
When I was installing my exhaust I couldn't get the studs out of the stock cat so I had to drive it to a local garage with no exhaust after the cat. It sounded like a drag car and was really loud. It was pretty cool but no where near legal.![]()

I am looking to order either a catback or turboback today. It seems you are somewhat endorsing the turbobacks....if you can help at all, do you know anything about the ones from rnrracing.com? They have a 3" turbo-back for $500, and I have about $600 to spend. at first I was set on getting a cat-back, new cat, and downpipe, but the turbo-back seems to be a little cheaper. Also, will the hp gains be about the same? I don't see why the wouldn't, but what are the advantages of each set-up?
