Crank Walk and a Hot Date

So I’m driving to down town with this hot girl and every thing seems to be going great. I'm coming to an intersection when my RPMS drop. I get in the left turn lane and my RPMS drop to practically nothing. I have the clutch in all the way and i try giving it some gas. The light goes green for me to turn and i end up having to practically floor it to get it to move like 5 mph. I pull over cursing to myself...i know its crank walk. That night i wonderful time hang out with a hot date....in the rain....waiting for a tow truck....that took 2 and a half hours. Got to love it. Oh and by the way my car only has only 35,000 miles on it so it can happen to anyone. So does anyone have any suggestions of what to do now?
 
I am not sure how large your budget is but here we go...

Go with a 6 bolt swap and while it is out build the engine a bit (rods, pistons, etc). The 1993-94 is a 7 bolt but it is still capable of crankwalk from what I have heard. Good luck!
 
if it's 35,000 mile then it is still underwarranty right??? And if it is underwarranty my suggestion is let warranty take care of it, and sell the car and get somthing else. For example, EVO VIII.
 
my 97 has 32,000 miles on it and the warranty has been expired for some time now......miles dont mean jack shlt. Look on traders for a good 6 bolt swap or ask the people here if they got one. You can find em for pretty good prices. find one , then worry about payment and install labor. make sure its done right and has a warranty when u get it put in =). also did u have a 2600 clutch? =p
 
Notice any strange clutch problems? When my car isn't in gear I hear a rattling sound, but then when I push the clutch in, it goes away. Also sometimes in 1st my car will pop out of gear easyly when i disengage te clutch. Lastly sometimes my clutch pedal will hit my in the foot when I shift, usually when the car is cold.

Yet us know how the 6bolt goes.
 
Is there a warranty? Mine was covered under warranty. I bought an extended warranty with the car because I knew it was going to happen. Mitsu installed a newly designed 7 bolt. So they say it is a crankwalk free design. Motor now has 23000 miles on it. So far so good. I would try and get mitsu to cover that though. It doesnt hurt to ask!

And what was the outcome of the date. Did she ditch you after the CW?:|
 
Wow guys thanks for all your replys. I do believe i have a 2600 clutch in still. Also i was having some clutch probs before it happened. The clutch seemed to be a little rough going in and out. I also did pop out of first a few times. As for my date everythings cool we are actually going out today in her car. Ill let you know how things go with the motor.
