This came to my mind when i did my UIC and 1g bov upgrade and then clean my IC. i went from 11psi to 14.5psi no MBC. i never knew if it was the new pipe or the clean IC but i thought what about a big ass FMIC
on this tiny turbo i will be sending pure Pure Ice Heaven to the combustion chamber which i think is good for power and mileage?

But is there something wrong with this that i dont know.

BTW in 3 weeks i LEAVE the &&*^&* ARMY and go to florida near miami
somebody from the area.

GOT RICE??? I do jajajja

don't forget about pressure drop, the t-25 has no need for a really large fmic or huge pipes, it would be pointless...
if it works, well great :), good luck.

While we are on the subject of intercoolers w/t-25, does the stock side mount on a 2g still get heat soaked? Also, what exactly happens when you get heat soak? Does it run less psi?

The stock IC will definitely heat soak. When you do experience heat soak your intake air temperature will go through the roof and you will be ingesting hot air and probably get more knock. A big IC on a tiny turbo is a poor idea. Pressure drop and the increase in lag will negate and benefit that you might see from the FMIC. If you want cooler intake temps get a larger turbo ie t28. A slightly larger turbo will drastically reduce your IAT and that will also be your best bang for the buck.

I personally think the lag would be minimal. And a fmic would have much less pressure drop than the stock sidemount.

You dont think all the extra piping would add lag? Have you ever gone from a sidemount to a front mount?

If you want to put a big dollar FMIC on that hair dryer that is your business. But you will see a much bigger gain going to a bigger turbo than throwing a FMIC on a tiny turbo. Its not like this is a new idea DSMs have been out for 10 years. People have tried it before, many times. It just doesn’t work.

I'll chime in from experience. I had my FMIC on my t-25. I got a deal on it so it went in. It did increase lag a little but at 15psi the car felt stronger.

ok so it looks like is not a good idea by the way anyone knows how much the FMIC from dark side racing flows in cfm??

Why dont you find out what Spearco core they are using because Spearco publishes all of their core flow rates. I know the IRC/Buschur "race" core is a 216 Spearco.
