OK. i am looking into an exhaust system. Since i am 16 and still working to pay off my car money is an issue here. The way i see it is i have two options(if anyone else knows any more let me know) I can custom build an exhaust which ends up being cheaper or i can buy i used exhaust. About the custom build i really need one of you guys to give me a list of parts i would need and where i could get them. And about the used... is this a sketchy idea? How would i check to see if the exhaust was still good? Can they go bad? any ideas would be helpful?

Thanks

Go and buy a universal Apexi N1 muffler, then have someone make 3" piping for you. Viola, a full 3" catback for less than the cost of a brand new one.

Or, you can look for a used one on DSMTrader.com

Good luck.

Thats what I would do, if I could do it all over again. I have an Apexi N1 and I love it.

I still say get whatever muffler you want...then take it to a muffler shop and have them make you 3" piping for it.

If you need to order any mufflers, let me know. I will try to give you a good price.

Thanks,
nathan

Like what someone else said, go to DSMTrader and find a good Apexi or Thermal one. You can get them for 500 or less if your lucky. Just keep looking everyday. And remember if you buy off DSMtrader use Escrow

=^.^=

I built my own exhaust for about 200 I just bought the 3in mandrel u bends and some strait pipe from summit. If you do this you will need an experienced welder though. Also you can get the flex section for down pipe from RRE. One thing though it's a major pain in the a$$ if you have never this before but it was cheap for a turbo back Exhaust and that also included a 3in cat.

u can get a full 3" turboback from Rnr for 500bux. Doesn't have the prettiest muffler but u can get a tip for it. Or juss look on DSMTrader, i wish i woulda got one off their cuz im seein thermal's goin for 350 bux and i paid 500 for my ahp that took over 4 months to arrive
