What kind of benefits will I get by porting my exhaust manifold, o2 housing, and stock t-25 turbo? Is the t-25 too pathetic to even think about port work? I'm asking because I want to keep the stock turbo as long as I can to get my money's worth out of it.

I ported mine and I have an Evo O2 housing and it did help. The spool up is much faster and it has a little more more top end but not much because it's just to small. I am happy with the peformance I'm getting out of for now. Another turbo is the near future though. I finally rounded up the funds so now I'm shopping.

I would agree. The T25 spools incredibly fast with decent porting. Yeah, it can't handle extreme boost but when you're starting - who really needs that? If money is a true concern and you can get a hook up on porting the T25 cheap, then do it. Otherwise, you can usually find a 16G for a decent price online with some good searching. Depends on how much you want to spend.

Hey RocketDSM, you're in San Diego, you know any good shops that do porting? Rnrracing can do the porting for 130 for all three: exh. mani., o2 housing, & turbo. Is that a good price?
