I am curious about buying the downpipe, the Hahn Racecraft looks appealing to me. I am planing to have somewhere around 400hp when im done upgrading my car and I'm wondering with high boost if this is the down pipe for me. The pipe starts as a 2.5" hook-up to the manifold (to fit the stock O-2 housing) and then it flares out to 3" before the first bend. I want a pipe that wont be restrictive with high boost and that wont take my torque away at low boost, (while i still have my stock turbo). Will 2.5" to 3" be fine with high boost or is just an entire 3" a better buy? I hope what i'm asking makes sence...

It should be fine, but I would get 3" just in case you get the "bug" to upgrade further...keep your options open, you know?

They say you can run 11's on a 2.5" pressbent down pipe..

A 2.5" is plenty, but there's always power to gain by going bigger. Whether you'll have more/less low end is another thread alltogether....

3" will be louder, though

If i get a 3" will it knock down some of my torque while im still running on my stock turbo? I wont be able to buy my new turbo untill next spring so i dont really want to loose my 214 ft-lbs of touque:D

I recommend doing a mod right the first time. You can go fast on a 2.5" downpipe, but at some point you will probably want to upgrade to a real 3" downpipe.

I recommend a 3" 02 elim downpipe becasue it's a full 3" and has no 2.5" reductions in it at all. Most companies have a 2.5" first bend in their 3" downpipes.
