ok here is the deal. i have a 97 gst, stock exhaust. my friend had a apexi turbo back exhaust but recently took it off. he gave me his 3 inch downpipe. i was wonder if this will bolt right up to the stock exhaust?? ne help would be appreciated...it looks like it would...

Off the top of my head I do not know. Try it and find out, worst case scenario is you waste 30 minutes.

A 3 inch downpipe with a stock exhaust isn't going to do much for you.

actually the results may be kinda nice...probably even faster spool up since there is a lot of flow that all of a sudden gets resticted...and minimal boost creep. Hardly any hp gain though. I have no idea if the car will do this...its just my conceptual idea of what the car may do.

try it...tell us your results. and it should fit...you may need to get the cat reflanged for the 3" thing...but all in all it should work.

You will need a 3'' or u shape clamp/flange to mate it to your stock catalic converter and 02 housing i believe. check out http://www.extrememotorsports.com/g2cat/down.htm , they sell the U clamps for like 10 bucks. I think thats what you need. If i were u though, id sell that downpipe, and get a RNR o2 eliminator downpipe, takes care of your o2 part of the exhaust and is a downpipe too. and screw a high flow cat, use a 3'' race pipe and just find someone to sign off your smog emmissions bullsh*t. it'll flow much better for when u get a bigger turbo and your right, it will relieve back pressure so it spools up faster.

iet ill try it out, thanx people...im just gonna get a cut out neway...best exhuast is none at all

maybe a little more than 15 since they probably have to reflange stuff...maybe 30. But IMO its worth it
