I'm working on a 1G that has been heavily modified including major port work to the head and the big 16G turbo. I want to port the 2G exhaust maifold for more power and maximize the , but there is no feasable way to get the cutting tool in certain areas of the manifold. I'm too cheap to have the exhaust extrude honed or ported by someone else. Has anyone tried to "acid port" stock exhaust manifolds. What method and materials work best. Any other options will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.

most people just port the collector area out to match the turbo and then on the head side port them just a little bit because they are already almost matched to the head

do this... get one of those tristy things that let you use a screw driver in wierd places, and chuck it in a drill, then atach those polishing burrs to the end... that should snake throught the manifold

extrude honing. it works by pushing highly abrasive material through the manifold, effectively cutting the thickness down evenly.

acid changes the metal at a molecular level weakening it, causing cracks later on.
