6 bolt swap ???

Ok call me @#$%ing crazy but I'm putting a 6 bolt in an at car. And discovered a slight problem today the flex plate for the 6 bolt has 3 ears on it while the 7 bolt has 4 ears.. The torque converter needs the 4 eared flex plate.. Now the ? is there a 6 bolt 4 ear flex plate out there????????

If you find one, I'd be interested to know about it. I didn't think there was one, which was why I've always heard that you can't put a 6-bolt in an A/T.

Shure will I/'m thinking of removeing the bosses off the torque converter and rewelding them for the 3 ear flex plate to work..

Did some calling arround today and found a shop that builds converters for the local trans shops.. The guy there is going to build me a custom treque converter for the swap .If any one else with an a/t car and wants a bolt swap I got the hook up..

Cool-- I also saw on the DSM A/T list where you were asking about the swap. Good luck with it! Do you have a ball park price for the TC?
