i tried installin my BOV im not havin any luck at all my car is spiking to like 20psi ... ive adjusted the BOV for 2 hours and still no luck.. idk what to do.. Can anyone tell me why it wont hold boost and that is keeps shootin to like 18psi... im pretty much bone stock except for a K&n filter..Im all worked up over this.. My Talon is all i got right now and i dont wanna mess it up.. and im havin no luck Adjusting this BOV will somone PLEASE help me?????

Sounds like you've disconnected one of your boost lines on your system. Check your vacuum lines to the boost solinoid and the turbo and the wastegate.

Get a boost controller, manual or electronic should do the job. Trying to adjust your type s bov won't cure that boost spiking, it's normal since this bov holds more boost than your stock. I had the same problem with my Type s when i first installed it, i got a manual boost controller and works fine, don't mess too much with your type S , find a good spot and leave it that way.

Am i save to Race it at the local Drag strip like this???.. Cuz i sorta rented the track for this saturday:confused:

on stock fuel, no. 20 psi is way top much and anything over that the had will start to lit off the car. If it holds at that boost that is. If it just spikes to that pressure it should be fine, as long as it settles down below 16.

Personallly I'd just get a controller from www.boostcontrollers.com

I think the're still the cheapest

does it spike up to 18 and come down right away, or does it hold 18 till 5.5-6 before it comes down

if it just spikes up and comes right down its not a big deal, if its holding 18 till 5.5 then thats a little too high

He's on the T25 right? That shouldn't be a problem.

I wouldn't worry about it than. You can clean that up with a mbc, but it's not going to hurt anything. I'm running the same bov with the t-25 and it spikes to about the same level. Just make sure that you adjust it to get rid of as much compressor surge as possible.

yeh...the only reason it does that is cause you are using the stock BCS...boost control soliniod...if you get an MBC it will fix your problem...but don't worry about it...its no big deal
