3"abs inake vs 3" aluminized steel intake

ok i have a home made 3" abs intake on my turbo right now. i have some extra aluminzed steel from making my exhaust. now would there be a hp difference you think from using steel over plastic? i am at least hoping for a increase in spoolup noise not to sound like a ricer

If the steel is thin walled it might let more noise out. ABS is kinda thick. Try it, what have you got to loose?

You might get more noise, since metal transmits sound better, but I doubt you will notice much difference in power.

yeah i wasnt thinking there wouldnt be any power gain, but a louder spoolup might be fun =)

Hook up a small microphone next to the turbo and wire it into your sound system! Or better yet, a loudspeaker! People wil think a jet is taking off!

... uhh naw thats ok... i jsut want my spool to be as loud as my friends (he has a dejon tool 2g intake)
