Hi Guys,

I am sure you have read a ton of these reviews, but I here are my impressions. I have a 92GSX, got the MAF Translator and a 3" MAF from Ramchargers. Everything worked perfectly, in terms of driveability, but for the life of me I could not do anything with my trims, they were stuck at 98, 81, 81 (Low, Mid, High), I spend quite a bit of time playing with the translator and the SAFC-II that I have installed, and I was running pig-rich, my gas mileage sucked, and nothing seemed to work. I got the latest EEPROM (v.1.3) and still nothing. Last weekend I decided to make myslef a 2.5 UCIP out of aluminized exhaust pipe and went to the local muffler shop and had them bend the pipe for me and 90 and 45 degree respectively. Cut a blow-off valve and TB flange with a plasma torch and dremelled the crap out of it till it fit. I basically went the ultra cheap route. I used tractor cooling hose for couplings and in about 6 hours, with some welding and hammering got the thing to fit on my GSX which still has ABS. For an intake pipe I have a short 2.5" pipe, which I expanded to 3" to accomodate the 3" K&N cone and put the whole thing together. The car fired right up and had zero driveability issues. It felt a lot more responsive and sounded like a vacuum cleaner under acceleration.

The impressive part is that after about 15 minutes of driving and tuning I got the trims to be Hi-99 Mid-98 and low 117%. I was not able to do this with the draw thru for like 2 months. Timing is about 19 degrees at WOT and I got about 6 counts of knock on top of 3rd. Also at about
6.5K RPMs I am now hitting 102% Injector duty cycle. The thing is sucking definitely a ton more air. THe rice-factor is also there with the BOV vented to atmosphere, but I could care less for that.

Here is an album of pictures with the install:

The total cost was about 70 bucks with clamps and couplings included.

Just thought, I'd share my experience with you.
