i'm thinkin of gettin a turboxs Dual stage or greddy profec b? wat's everyones opinion on these two BC? rite now i'm boostin about 8-9 psi on stock turbo (sad to say it's a 13g ) but yah my 3"inch turbo back is helpin a lot...lemme noe...and what's a good settin for boost? 14-15-16 ? especially for my turbo...well aitez...keep me posted...

I have a manual Boost controller because the ProfecB can hold more than 22psi relieably.

Later,

Just wanted to clear up the whole profec thing.....

the main problem with the Profec B, is that by design it can only hold twice the wastegate's configuration. If your internal wastegate does 11psi on it's own (no BC) then with the profec you can hit 22.....

On the other hand, with externals, people have gotten well over 22psi with there profecs.. I think it has a lot to do with the car's configuration.

Do I, and will I own a profec? No... I'm saving up for a HKS EVC to replace my manual boost controller when the time comes.

Actually the Profec B can hold as much boost as you would like. But, here's the kicker, It can only double the pressure of the spring(external) in the wastegate. A 10psi spring will get you 20psi with the profec B. A 19 psi spring will get you 38psi.

Ok I did not know that about the profec-B. Learn something new everyday. :D

Later,

Thats the only crappy thing about that controller. The internally gated guys that have something like a 10psi actuator are screwed if they wanna run 25psi. I wonder what the engineers are Greddy were thinking.

It can hold enough to blow your motor into peices... :D :D

For the price of that hallman or add on.. you could buy a used EVC EZ off the parts traderl. I seriously considered the hallman setup when i checked it out at the SO... but glad that I held out & got this EVC EZ for $175 shipped off the trader. It's awesom. My external stays closed till full boost, it's very simple to adjust, & no BS fuzzy logic. I love it.

i c...my fren has a evc ez on his 95 talon...too bad he didn't knoe how to use it correctly...he bought his car used...with a greddy front mount... with ic piping and bov...and INJEN intake system....and other #@%#@%#@%#@%....i guess he was boostin to much or sumthin his car ain't workin...or maybe his turbo blew

What does it go to on the lowest boost setting?

I'm guessing your useing both nipples on the external, and have the dip switches set accordlingly on the profec?

I'll take an HKS EVC please..... whenever someone feels like giving me one..... damn those things are pricy

low low is 7psi.. high high was abou 20psi.. and no we didnt use both nipples on the external.. we used the top nipple to the OUT on the profec and ran the IN to another vacuum source I believe the line that goes from the BOV to the IM.. and I havent touched any of the dip switches since I had my Big28

Check out greddy's web site, there are some dip switches you need to change when you use the profec on an external -- for it to work properly.
