i got everything ripped off and i was trying to take the throttle plate off, and one screw came loose and the other was super tight and it started to strip, so i stripped it a little bit and just stopped before it got bad, i ended up just cleaning the throttlebody, and ill tell you what....when you look inside and it looks nice and clean, you should open the throttle plate and look at the intake manifold side, it was HORRIBLE
it looked like the underside of the car, a thick layer of gunk built up, you could run your finger across it and pull it up in a huge wad, and the whole inside of the manifold is the same way, i got the tb cleaned up nice and cleaned the inside of the manifold for the first few inches
while i had everything off i put on my egr blockoff plate, so it wont get all cruddy again, i would definately recommend to anyone to make or buy an egr blockoff plate, and spend a day to rip off your intake manifold and tb and replace the shaft seals and gaskets if you can, and clean everything out
i think im going to buy a throttlebody and intake manifold and get them all nice and clean replace all the seals port them a little bit and swap them on
