type R around my area keeps on beating everyone

well guys just to took apart the block and found piston #1 blown . you know what this means rebuild magnus has a pretty tempting deals on there website 3000$ for a built shortblock..... anyways im still not sure about my cranckshaft, valves ( they seem to look ok ) and if my block is cracked.....so i have to send it out to the machine shop so they can check it out all the stuff.... anyways this type R beat a rx7 TT today and a wrx last night... i heard he ran a best of 13.0 in the 1/4.... if the cranck and block is good should i fully built the block i have or should i go with magnus? anyways i want to bring this type R down to its knees and beg for mercy when im done.... i know its going to take a while for me to gather the money and do all that i want to do you guys think i can get into the low 12's with these mods

2.5 catback ported 2g housing and 2g turbo mani. test pipe....with a 18 g or 50 trim... 190 walbro pump..... stock head..... ported intake mani....front mount...dsm link.....and helping hand of n2o

Ok a couple of things...

1. You need to learn how to group your ideas in a paragraph...you start off talking about your car...then the type r...then your car again...then the type r...finish one subject before you start another.

2. Don't get an 18g...their crap and is in no way comparable to a 50trim.
The 18g may not be a bad compressor but for the price you just pay
another 100 and get a 20g if you really want to stay mitsu

3. I don't think you can get DSMLink because you are a 1g...I know they were planning on making it for a 1g but I don't know if it is actually done

Lastly, there is a type-r in my area too...all he has is some fuel mods, intake, headers, and exhaust right now. Except he also has a fully built motor running stock compression but everything forged and the block cryogenically treated, also some minor head work done like P&P. He is basically the fastest car in the area...you know why? On top of new injectors, fuel pump, i/e/h, there is a 250 shot of Nitrous. He isn't running it right now but he has the set-up. 250 SHOT!!!!!!! Thats huge...maybe the guy in your area is doing that to beat these other cars too.

13sec isn't fast so you should have no problem beating him with a 50trim

a 2.5" exhaust will make so much air restriction with a 50 trim turbo, u need a 3" turbo back, espicaly if ur running a ported o2 housing and mani, the stock o2 is about 2.5", its pintless to port it only to have its smooth airflow ruined by an exhaust thats far too small
as for an 18g, i think they are decent, a guy arond here runs one on his integra, it runs in the 12s on 7 pounds of boost
and as for a 250 shot of nitrous, make sure u get it on video if he ever trys to use it, im sure everyone here wants to see his pistons fly out through his hood or his rods blast out into the street, iv nevr heard of anyone even attempting something as stupid as putting a 250 shot on a 2.0, i know someone running a 125 shot on a jdm h22 with a valve job and its just eating away his engine every time he sprays, the valves are what will go first so thats wha was upgraded, iv seen 100 shots eat holes in a gsr block, he will never make a second run with a 250 shot

Get the 50 trim and ALL the supporting mods ,you will be WAYYYYY faster then the type "R" and your car will be able to live to tell about it!

I have only seen the car parked...I know I didn't believe it either that he had a 250 shot or that he had raced some people using the shot...or that he hasn't blown his engine yet...but I guess the entire thing is built to handle it...its not even a 250 shot on a 2.0 its a 250 shot on a 1.8 "b18c5" I have to see it run though cause I think it will blow up too

but he is either lying about the shot, or he has never used it, u need a fully built engine to run a 250 shot on a v8 and not blow it up, if he sprays a 250 shot into a b18c5 it will blow something up regardless of how much his motor is built, i can guarantee the engine will detonate, the only question is what parts will be blow out of the engine bay and destroy the block, my money is on a rod, but with that shot i can see it being a piston too
but then again he might have a kit like the zex that will cut the nitrous before u detonate, so even if he sprays it wil cut it after about a split second, so it wouldnt blow it up but he couldnt actually use the ntrous

I dont believe the 250 shot in a b series motor. This is kinda funny because there is some jackass in reno with a firebird that says he runs 9's. Me and a friend talked to him and he says hes got a built 350 with a supercharger and a 500 yes thats right 500 shot of nitrous. The funny thing is that he has no cowl hood or a hole for that supercharger to even fit under the hood. Shit, you cant even put a high rise air filter on one of those without a rise in the hood. Yea well anyway he wont let us see under his hood and hes a dirt bag lier. Just thought I would share my story. Good luck with the new engine.

why dont you just take your motor to an engine shop and have them put some eagle rods/wiseco pistons in there for something like ballpark 1200 bucks including parts/labor and spray a 100 shot ontop of your current setup? i dont care what anyone says, nitrous isnt cheating.

NO n20 isn't cheating but have fun paying 20-40$$ everytime you need to refill a bottle that lasts for about 30-60 seconds worth of racing...

(at least those are the prices paid by a lude owner who lived in my dorm.)

By the time you spend 1200 on pistons, ~1000 on N20 system (again a dry kit for the lude), you could have a killer turbo from AGP for 825 and 1300 left for a super fuel system + some other goodies...

And you don't have to keep refilling that turbo, keeping it warm w/ a blanket, and have to reach around to turn it on/off everytime you think you MIGHT get in a race....

would be insane, over doubling your stock hp w/the push of a botton. i could see him using smaller numbers, but like others have said, i think its bs. i think nitrous is a poor mans turbo. heh my 2cents
