When upgrading to an aftermarket BOV (Turbo XS or HKS SSQV) on a 1G, is it necessary to upgrade the upper intercooler piping also? Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is essential, but it is a good idea to do it all at once.

Not really but it help a little. One rubber will expand under boost, two the piping is bigger. But why upgrade you BOV. You really don't need to.
