ok guys please dont flame me i just want a simple answer. what ups and downs would there be if i got a O2 housing that dumped the wastage into the atmospher w/ a 16g thats internally gated?

u know man just search jk im kidding i hate when people dont answer ? but if u do a search in dump u will find some stuf but for your answer it will get rid of most your boost creep if not all, also it could improves flow witch means more hp, i would get it ive been asking the same ? and just orderd my o2 eliminator dp with external dump

i have one thats built into my 3" turboback exhaust.... i love it
scares the hell outta ppl =)

Holy crap, this entire thread is gibberish. Use English for god's sake.

However, since the title is about a wastegate dump, I probably can answer your questions.

Creep will be reduced very little, if at all. In an internal wastegated setup that creeps, the major restriction is the actual opening and exhaust area of the flapper door, NOT the O2 housing. I know people who have seen NO change in creep with an external dump.

Power will increase slightly, probably around the area of 10 hp.

These are VERY loud. Very.

sorry to be the fackin newb but how exactly does dumping work with the wastegate, ive read and done it with a BOV but just curious as to how the sound compares with the dumping you guys are talking about?

here is mine. that short smaller pipe is coming off the wastegate on the turbo.

If you want your car to sound like a 81 Dodge Pick-up with a broken exhaust at WOT then get an external dump. Honetly for all the frickin noise and gettin booked by the cops if they ever saw that under the hood is not worth the 10hp IMO.

When I built my downpipe I went go great lengths to make sure that my external wastegate was dumped back into the exhaust. It would have been much easier to leave it atmospheric believe me...

i had mine dumped for a couple weeks, absolutely couldnt stand it, as a daily driver and i get on it alot, its just too loud, a cop could hear you from 5 blocks away and nail you, its alot safer without one

ive heard the external dump on an o2 housing thats from the internal gate and i didnt think it was nearly as loud as the external tial dumping

if you want to know how it sounds, unbolt your downpipe and run open o2 housing and go for a drive, now its only that loud under full boost, otherwise its perfectly fine, but still you get the point
