New Transmission?

Well my transmission is blown, so I'm now in the market for a new transmission. I have a few questions:
*If I go with a used transmission
1.)How much are used JDM transmissions?
2.)How much for a used US one
3.)Any differences between US, and JDM transmissions?

*If I rebuild
1.)How import is a 4-spider-diff? (for a 14b car)

The JDM ones are only different if they came off of a GVR-4. They have a longer first gear.
