Toronto,
I have a feeling that I have an intake leak, yesterday I made an Intake Leak Tester.

When you do an intale leak test do you have to cover the the BOV dump tube???

I'm there pumping away with my bycicle pum and I can seem toget any boost pressure on the boost gauge..

you really need an air compressor to do that. You won't be able to build up any pressure in there, especially if you have a leak somewhere.

Ummm, NO. Don't just go to a gas station and use their compressor hose. That will put WAY too much pressure into your block. You really want to find a friend with a compressor so you can hook it up and slowly increase the pressure. You don't need to test anything higher than 20psi at this point.

A bike pump should be fine. In cars with no or few leaks, I can easily get 15 psi of pressure with mine. In cars with leaks, I am still able to get enough pressure to find the leak.

Where are you clamping the tester onto, the turbo?

You do not have to block off the BOV return pipe, it should not leak at all.

can you really get enough pressure with a bike pump? I never did it that way, and it almost sounded impossible to me. I have an air compressor, so I just use that.

If your leak is that big you can do the leak test in two parts. Try putting the leak tester on the TB elbow first. Then put the leak tester on the turbo inlet, and cap off the upper intercooler pipe after the BOV. I've had good success with a big bike pump.

I looked on your mods for a aftermarket boost gauge and I didn't see one on your list. If your using your factory it wont work. Your factory only reads estimated boost. Just incase you didn't know. I made this mistake myself.

I do have a Boost gauge, airfuel gauge and an EGT gauge, I just think they don't qualify as a performance upgrade, so I didn't put them in the list.

Thankx guys yyou helped a lot.
