please somebody tell me the compression for the 1g and 2g eclipse engine.

And I'm thinking of buying pistons and rods.
I'm gonna buy wesico or JE pistons, what compression should I choose for my car whith my mods:dsm:

stock piston compression? 1g - 7.8:1, 2g - 8.5:1

many people would suggest 9.0:1

and I dont suggest you go with JE, they are not very good for a street car because you are more likely to have a problem with piston slap than with other pistons.

8.5 will make knock less of a problem on pump gas, you should be able to get a little more power out of 9:1 tho

if i built my engine i would go with 8.5, its not high and its not low, its right in the middle, works very well for any turbo car
