I was told that the Greddy FMIC kit will fit directly on a 99 GSX? Are there other kits that fit as well without cutting the bumper or do they all require bumper modification?

If they all require bumper modification how big a process is that what tools are required? I saw in another post that all you need is a Sawzall and a drill/wrench set. Any comments on that?

Thanks in advance,

dremel with a drill bit and a end-mill style sander. that's what i used on my friend's WRX and it looks fine. very smooth, no paint peel, no cracks. just watch which way you sand the bumper. don't make 90º angles when sanding it. give the edges a chamfer by using the sander so it's direction goes from the painted part to the unpainted edge. this ensures that the ABS of the bumper doesn't just melt down so you have a piece of paint hanging off. it's a good idea to apply a light coat of clear coat after doing it so the paint doesn't peel. modifying the bumper is no big deal.

Yes I would like to hear also the performance of the Greddy FMIC since I was thinking about getting one when i get my b16g. Let us know. Thanks.

Yes, I am looking to mount the FMIC on the stock turbo at first then upgrade to the FP Green Model. How does the Greddy handle with either of those turbos?

Thanks
