Ok I plan on installing a extreme motorsport in tank fuel pump upgrade it flows 75 gals per hour vs the 48 gals per hour it has.
Do I need a fuel preasure regulator for this pump.
Or can run it without one.
Thanks in advance :thumb:

I installed a walbro 255 in my car, I don't seem to be running into any problems, no fuel regulator either. There is only so much your stock injector can flow, if you were to go with 550 injectors that I would understand why you would need a fuel regulator

So vinnie you got the same fuel pump I purchased?
And did not install a fuel regulator?
Please tell me how youre car is running is it running rich ,is it smoking or if is running as the same as the stock unit.

I plan on installing one since I will be runnig 15 psi of boost and want to make sure that I wont lean out.

If anybody else have some more input on the subject please share any info you may have!!!!!

If it's the equivalent of a 255 lph, you will need a fuel pressure regulator. The stock one gets overun pretty easily.

I'm not sure if it's the same one or not, the Walbro fuel pump that I got flows 77 (gal/hr) at 20psi.

I installed the pump about a year ago, haven't had any problems, and I don't have a fuel regulator.
I'm also running 15 psi on street and 19psi on the track. If your worried about leaning out don't be, that pump is good for 400hp if I'm not mistaken.

Ok.I will read again the manual for my pump but I am preaty sure that I have the same one that vinnei has.
On another note my only mods about now are:
-Injen intake
-Uper intercoler pipe upgrade with 1gen BOV
-manual boost controler(pump upgrade beacuse of the higher boost I will be runnig)

Who measures a fuel pump at 20 only psi?

Also, 77 gallons is 291.5 liters, so I would suspect that even at a usable PSI level measurement, it probably still could be overrunning the stock FPR.
