I am rebuilding my 2G 7bolt engine. Should I replace my old oil pump?
If yes then is there better than stock aftermarket oil pumps or should I buy it from mitsubishi? Also how much do they cost in the US?
thanks,
kristo

if you buy the whole front case with gears, you'll spend around $200...if you cazn find a dealer local to you that will sell you just the gears, you'll spend about 1/4 of that...

local mitsubishi knows little to almost nothing about those cars. they even dont have repair manual for them... so I need your help guys!
how to get new oil pump directly from US? Could anyone point me out a cool dealership who would go thru the trouble of sending stuff out of the US?
thanks, kr

Did you try to ask the dealers in your area for the part number MD327450 ?
I will get a price for you Monday for the pump I just don't know what to use for shipping it. I'd like to help you out. Let me know if you recommend a certain carrier.

San Rafael Mitsubishi has been great to me on parts I've ordered there. There's a guy there named Mike and he's very nice and very knowledgeable. They also had a pretty good discount for Club DSM members and they sponsor this board. They are somewhat low-tech, you order via email, but I've been very pleased. I'm sure they can handle shipping for you.

thanks for your input guys and sorry for the delay!

Yea, please get me the price and for shipping the only reasonable way to go would be US Air Parcel Post or EMS as others really go nuts with their prices.
thanks

oh, and I am in Estonia (eastern europe, next to Finland and ... oh, well, Russia)

Thanks for the tip! I e-mailed to Mike and he got me a price quote with good prices but they don`t ship with nothing but fedex and it is too expensive for me (shipping of crank and oil pump would be about $900)
I need to find a cheaper way...
