Spraying the intake manifold?

The other day when i got home i felt my intake manifold and i realized how hot it was. So i started thinking what about taking your windsheild washers and spraying some water on the intake manifold. Would this yeild any differences in temp? Its got to do something i mean it was freaking hot. I have seen ppl at the track putting ice on there intake manny. I always thought that could crack it. So i never wanted to do that but what about a little water? Would this hurt? Im open to some ideas. On what everyone thinks.

It's always going to be hot from radiational heat from the block. Your time and money would be better spent on a more efficient intercooler.

In addition to what go fast said you could always get the IM HPC coated.

Yes im waiting for my 1g intake manny to get here. I think im going to send it out to jet hot coatings. They did my evo3 exhaust manny. Did a really good job to. Well its not like it would take but a few minutes to put the windshaser nozzle on it wouldnt cost anything. So you dont think that it would yeild any performance gains. Im still waiting on the dsm-performance fmic to get here i order it 2 weeks ago and they are waiting on pipes or something. That is taking forever.

i mounted 2 windshield squirters in front of my side mount....took about 15minutes...i can tell a differance on a hot day in the upper rpm range...also, after a hard run, the intercooler feels much cooler than before so i know it's work to some degree...oh, and you can't even see them unless you get right up to them...
