Is the Apexi N1 catback any good?

I've read it many times, the Apexi N1 gives a great sound and looks really nice! But what about all the mufflers you can buy on ebay for 50$, they look just as good, and I guess the sound isn't that bad. You just need som welding and then your ready.
I like the real Apexi N1, but I'm afraid it is the brandname that sets the price...what do you guys think? What is the difference between a real Apexi N1 and a lookalike on ebay?

I wouldn't screw around with Ebay exhausts dude. They're a waste. Just do it right the first time. Apexi is the best there is.

If you're looking for a quality, pre-made exhaust then the Apex-i will deliver. There is a reason why it cost what it does. It's all mandrel bends, with ceramic coating and a stainless steel canister that will bolt on directly the first time around. You are paying for the quality and ease of install.

If you want to save a few buck then go the Ebay route and have a local shop install it for you. The catch will be that most local shops don't have mandrel benders and you'll end up with press bent piping.

Your choice.

PS for you Apexi Guys- I have Apexi N1 down pipe on the way, Does that help the sound out a lil. Im hoping after that cat goes it will be a little more noticeable

I had the RS*R (same as APEXi) d/p and it did make the system louder. You will be heard coming, the best thing is that it's deep, not raspy like other cars.
